What reports and business data insights would you like to see?

Every business produces data – accounting records being a prime example. Business owners will often have different ideas as to what information is, or might be, useful to them. Seeing the data in graphical, dashboard or picture form often helps too.
Which do you prefer? A management reports pack full of pages and pages of figures… or a graphical pack making it easier to highlight trends etc…or would both be useful?
A “standard” set of accounts only goes so far. These are totals from a variety of sources. But do you know the revenue from your top 10 customers in the last 12 months? Do you know on average the number of “debtor days” – how long it takes to get paid, and do you know the impact on your bank balance of reducing those debtor days by just 1$ or 2%? Will there be enough money to pay all the bills at the end of next month?
With sophisticated data analysis tools linked into the accounting software, there are a wide range of reports that can be produced for you – either ad hoc or on a regular basis as part of regular management reporting.
What else would you like to see or know?
