Accounting – don’t be tied to the desktop – use the mobile apps
You don’t have to be at a desk using a PC to run your accounts.
Whilst cloud-based products can be accessed using a tablet or mobile phone, this does not offer the best “experience” – too small to read, too small to click around etc. Many cloud providers offer mobile “apps” – designed especially for use on mobile devices including phones and tablets. As an example, the Xero app allows invoicing or converting quotes to invoices (ideal for billing a customer whilst still on the job), check outstanding payments, add new customers, reconcile transactions and run accounting reports.
Xero expenses app can be made available to employees and the team, and they can quickly and easily capture costs simply by photographing the expenses and then uploading them to Xero for approval and payment.
Many other accounting software products also have dedicated apps.
